"No it's-" Harvey paused on the phone, sitting back in his chair as the man on the other line spoke in a rushed tone. Behind him the large window's overlooking Gotham showed the evening begin to fall, a low quiet only broken by the passing of people in the hall and the occasional shout from nearby. Even the criminals, as bold as they were, didn't play too close to the courts and police station. At least they recently began to keep to safer routes - ever since the Batman.
"What did Gordon say?" Harvey asked, tapping his pen against a stack of paper's unconsciously. The office itself was cluttered, boxes of files littering the floor, table and desk, more organized on the book shelf amongst it's dog eared volumes of law even Harvey found dull after a good hour of search. Across his desk in particular was the mob trial in one neat stack, another stack information on countless Arkham inmates past and present. Ever since his little 'twenty questions game' with the Joker he at least tried to see if he could find a connection, if the Joker had truly been in Arkham as he claimed. So far it was fruitless but it was worth a try, at the moment there was little more they could do but search and prepare.
"The entire police force will be there regardless. The priority is the Mayor, and the citizens, they should-" he paused before smirking tiredly. "He killed 'Harvey' and 'Dent,' that's not what concerns me. Look, whoever's staying with the accountant - tell Gordon I want an outside source. I'm sure his team would do just fine but-" But they couldn't be trusted. Harvey didn't need to say it out loud for the words to sink in. "Look, tell Lieutenant Gordon I'll call him about this tomorrow. Thank you." he said before shutting off the phone. He nearly forgot he had invited Jack for a visit - the thought crossed his mind as he sat back. Would he just pop out of nowhere? More importantly he'd need to entertain the... elf, incarnate, whatever he happened to be. That was a bridge he'd cross when the man got here.
